Visit www.ksvotes.org to register to vote, update your voter information or fill out an application to receive an advance ballot by mail. 

Attention Kansas Voters: 

A presidential preference primary election will be conducted in Kansas this year. The date of the election, along with the names of the candidates for the office of President will be available on the Secretary of State’s website at VoteKansas.gov or visit your local county election office for more information. 

PUBLIC TESTING OF ELECTION EQUIPMENT

As required per KSA 25-4111, the County Clerk, Hollie Melroy, will be performing a test of the ballot counter, DS450. This test is open to the public and will be performed Tuesday March 5th, 2024 @ 11:00 AM and again on Thursday March 14th, 2024 @ 11:00 AM at the Courthouse, basement level by the rear door. 








2024 IMPORTANT DATES 

WE encourage you to check back frequently for reminders, updates and/or changes.

February 20, 2024 - Deadline to register to vote or update voter registration information to participate in the Presidential Primary Election (PPP).  No party affiliation changes after this day. An Unaffiliated voter may affiliate at any time. 

February 20, 2024 - LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR ADVANCE BALLOT BY MAIL.

February 28, 2024 - First day of advance voting. Advance ballots by mail are sent out and In-person advance voting begins. 

March 18, 2024 - In-Person advance voting ENDS AT NOON. No Exceptions. 

March 19, 2024 - PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION. All regular polling places in McPherson County will be open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

(ALL ADVANCE BALLOTS BY MAIL MUST BE RECEIVED BY CLOSE OF POLLS 7:00 PM )

March 21, 2024 - The Post Election Audit will be held here at the Courthouse, basement level @ 10:30 AM. 

March 25, 2024 - will be the County Canvass. The Clerk will ask the Commissioners permission to open the provisional ballots @ the Commissioners meeting @ 9:00 AM and final official results will follow. 

August 6, 2024 - PRIMARY ELECTION

November 5, 2024 - GENERAL ELECTION
