Either party to be married may make application in person at the District Court for a Marriage License.
The applying party must bring photo identification (driver’s license, passport, etc.) along with the following information: Full names, Dates of Birth, and Social Security Numbers for both parties.
A worksheet will be issued when the application is made. There is a THREE (3) day waiting period, after application is made, before the worksheet may be returned and the license issued. The worksheet must be signed by both parties.
The cost of the license is $85.50 and must be paid in CASH when the worksheet is returned, no other form of payment will be accepted.
The license will expire SIX (6) months from the date of issuance. The ceremony must be in the state of Kansas.
After the marriage ceremony, the ORIGINAL license must be returned to the District Court.
