McPherson County Register of Deeds is an official passport acceptance agency for the U. S. Department of State.
As passport acceptance agents we accept, verify given information and assimilate the required information and appropriate fees, then it is sent to the U. S. Department of State which issue or deny the passport request.
To request a passport for the first time you need to come into the office, bring with you two current passport pictures, drivers license and your birth certificate. You will need to write two checks for the required fees. Cash payment will only be accepted for the Register of Deeds Office, the Department of State requires a check. If you get a Passport Form DS-11 before coming in, please fill out, BUT do not sign. Applications must be in black ink and mistake-free. We must see all passport applicants. For a person under 16, both parents must sign and show us their drivers license. If you have any questions please call before coming in.

The U.S. Passport Book may be used for any type of international travel.

PASSPORT CARD
The U.S. Passport Card may only be used for re-entry into the United States at land borders and sea ports-of-entry when traveling from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda. Passport cards may not be used for air travel.

Passport Renewal by Mail (Customer Submits) TOTAL FEE $130
You may qualify to use this form only if:
- The issue date of your last passport was less than 15 years ago;
- You were 16 or older when it was issued;
- Your name is the same or you can submit name-change documentation (marriage certificate or court order);
- You can submit this passport; and
- It is undamaged.
EXPEDITED Service (Form DS-11 or DS-82)
Add $60 Per Application and 2-Way Overnight delivery
Expedite fee does NOT include overnight delivery fee.
