Mr. Witte requested Agenda Item E, “9th Judicial Nominating Committee Appointment” be postponed until next week’s meeting.  Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the agenda as amended.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

No one spoke for Public Input Session at 10:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the minutes of March 9, 2004 as presented.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the distribution and payroll.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the adds and abates register of March 12, 2004.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Mr. Witte presented a Personnel Change Notice (PCN) for Jeff Collins, Court Security Officer, for end of probation (from 13/C to 13/D), effective 02/29/04.  Commissioner Patrick made a motion to approve the PCN as presented.  Commissioner Schroeder seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the bank signature card for the Treasurer’s Office as presented.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

Dave Bohnenblust, Public Works Director, joined the meeting at 10:10 a.m. to request approval to purchase a 30” – 36” concrete saw.  Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to approve the purchase of a concrete saw, not to exceed a cost of $15,000.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.

 

At 10:50 a.m. the Commissioners held a work session, no action was taken during the work session.  At 1:00 p.m. they recessed.  The Commissioners reconvened at 7:30 a.m. on March 17 at the McPherson Super Wal-Mart store where they took part in the ribbon cutting ceremonies for the opening of the new store.  No action was taken by the Commissioners during that time.  At 8:30 a.m. Commissioner Schroeder made a motion to adjourn.  Commissioner Patrick seconded.  All voted aye.
